Hi everybody,

I'm used to encoding PAL movies. Now I want to encode an anime (Gate Keeper). Sometimes there are blended frames, sometimes there are duplicate frames,... But it doesn't seem to be in a very logical order, it's always in a different way (or so it seems to me). I'm really anxious to start this anime encode but I want to do it the good way.

Probably some good avisynth usage should help, and I have some (basic) understanding of avisynth. Could anybody help out? I have been looking for a standard guide as to how to encode anime but it's hard to come by. So if you'de be able to fill me in on the details, do's and don't I'd be really appreciative.

Thanks a million.

If the content is NTSC, see www.doom9.org/ivtc-tut.htm for an intro to Inverse Telecining and deinterlacing. If these are NTSC->PAL conversions, theres a pretty good section in the there on the various types of conversions, and what, from an avisynth script, you may be able to do about it.
