I was trying to back-up Roger&Me but cce crashed twice at the exact same spot. I used frame selection and checked the frame where this had happened I found that at this frame the movie shows a TV-screen in which the transmission is disturbed and so you just see snow.
Obviously CCE cannot handle this much agitation and it crashes.
Of course I can use frame selection to make one CD just up to this snowy scene and start a new CD after this scence but I hope there is a better way to fix this problem, is there ?
I hope I could make my problem clear because I am not a native speaker.

Hi Peter,
I backed up The Ring (DVD source), which has lots of scenes like that, and had no problems with CCE.
Please give us some more information to narrow the source of the problem.

quite a coincidence, just did roger and me, and had no problems. (using CCE 2.67.00.11 btw)

Just a thought.
Years ago when I first started using DVD2SVCD I had a backup where CCE 2.50 always crashed at exactly the same spot. Turned out it was my power management settings had been altered by someone. Ensure all the things like "Switch off monitor" and "Spin down Hard Disks" are set to "Never".
This is probably a completely different issue but I would say worth checking. I find it very hard to believe there is anything wrong with the source (unless you used an external ripper program to rip the DVD) since Pacohaas backed the same movie up fine.

Thank you Nick, r6d2 and pacohaas,
I must admit that I did use an external ripper (DVD decrypter) and as opposed to pacohaas I used cce 2.5
I will try to do it over again -
Also the powermanagement settings are some helpful suggestions that I will check out over the weekend.
Thanx a lot for your kind answers.
Peter
