U.S. Supreme Court votes YES to DeCSS

Actually, they decided that a Texas resident with no substantial ties to California can't be sued in a Californian court. They didn't rule that it was legal to distribute DeCSS. But as Reuters reported, there's another west coast case hanging which currently is in favor of the defendant. But that's about whether DeCSS violates the DVD CCA's trade secrets.

The east coast case (MPAA vs. 2600) has been decided in favor of the MPAA in two instances and I'm not sure if it will go to the supreme court.
