Real Video codec for Media Player Classic.

When i try to play .ram and .rm files, Media Player Classic opens them but pop up with a dialog saying:

Media Player Classic could not render some of the pins in the graph, you may not have the needed filters or codecs installed on the system.

File stream renderer::Out

Stream 0
ASX file Parser
File stream renderer[B]

and

Stream 0
.RAM file Parser
File stream renderer


I would think that i need the Real Video codecs. If that's what i need, does anyone know where to get them?

No, don't install this heavy-buggy-full of spyware and nags- software ! Get the latest Real Alternative (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Real_Alternative.htm) for Media Player Classic, and it will work better than any Real Player ;)

You should have read this tread http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=68399 before posting comments like that. I don't like RealPlayer but Real Alternative is garbage...

yea, I agree with mf....realalt isn't that bad...though I wish it was better.

And yea, it might be illegal (though they may be able to avoid legal "illegal" distinction if they also distributed it with a version of RP [freebie version]) but then, it'll get superbloated.
And besides, Real Alternative uses dll's by Real; the same stuff used by Real Player, just minus the gui and the "real" garbage.

I still wish they make the realAlt pack smaller and without two versions of MPC (I can grab my own...from here or from sourceforge anyways).

If you want a good pack, look on google for "Yatoshi Satsuki", in download section. The pack in in french. I don't use RealPlayer nor RealAlternative.

Heads up for anyone who googled this thread as well. The Yatoshi Satsuki codec pack won't fix the Real Media streaming problem, it will just hinder your other codecs.
