Ok here is my situation. I've been collecting episodes of a tv show over the past 6 months in SVCD format. They were taking up too much space so I purchased SVCD2DVD, converted them to DVD format and burned them to several DVDs. I did not have all the episodes at that time so they are not in order on the DVDs.
I finally got all the episodes but some are on DVD (converted from SVCD) and some are on my hard drive in SVCD format. So what I'm wondering is, do I have to convert those episodes that I've already burned back to SVCD so I can combine them in the correct order or can I just rip the VOB file for the episodes and combine them that way?

U can rip the vobs from the dvds and use them as they r now (converted) with the rest of them that u have on svcd.

oddyseus,
"U can rip the vobs from the dvds and use them as they r now (converted) with the rest of them that u have on svcd."
Forgive me for being a newbie, but how do you do this?
I know how to rip the individual episodes to VOB files but what program do I use to combine the SVCD files and VOB files to a compliant DVD file? Do I have to convert the SVCDs on my hard drive to VOBs first and then combine them?
Thanks for the fast reply.

U have already converted svcd episodes in dvd format. So this is already a known procedure.
1. u have to convert the rest svcd episodes to dvd format.
2. Open up vobedit, u can find it in doom9 site, select a vob file from the dvd and demux it twice, 1st the video and 2nd the audio.
3. svcd2dvd already produces demuxed (separated) audio from video during its proccess that u can set it to keep instead of deleting them.
by now u have a full set of episodes that r demuxed.
Make a bmp that u will use as a menu for selecting an episode to watch and follow the guide of the authoring program that u will choose to use.
