I am using smartripper and DVD shrink to backup my DVD's. Everything works fine. However I would like to be able to edit the content of VOB files. (in order to take out adverts when I have recorded from the TV) It seems DVD shrink can allow you to select a position to start and end the video (although I haven't attempted that yet!) but is there a program that can edit out a section within the VOB file and 'restitch' the remaining VOB file back. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
:)

I'm a newbie here, so don't quote me on this post....

But mpeg-vcr (from Womble) can do just as you ask...very easily. It's expensive, but does have a trial period. And I think TMPGEnc DVD author will work too.
