Hej,
I have a setup with WinXP Pro, ATI Radeon 9000, Sounnblaster Live and 2 Screens (One Monitor and the TV). The display settings show two independant displays, each with it's own resolution and color depth. But they build one big screen togehter, means I can drag windows from one to the other. Direct Sound is enabled, as far as dxdiag tells.
When I start a movie with ac3 sound (with zoom player) everything is fine. As soon as I drag the window on the second screen (TV) sound is gone as long as I have SPDIF output enabled. Normal stereo output works fine on both displays.
Please, can someone tell me how displays and sound are connected. I don't really understand the connection.
Thx
