Hello, I was looking for programs to create VCD from DVD and I found this one.
I have used it on several of my DVDs and it works fine, and the encoding (or transcoding, if its the case, as I think it is) only takes about 30 minutes, instead of hours like DVD2SVCD and others!!!
This is the homepage:

IŽd like youŽre opinions about this program, it still is new to me too!!!

DVD2SVCD is a front end program and actually doesn't encode your video. It uses TMPGEnc or CCE. So the speed is still limited by these encoders.
Could you please show some quality and speed differences between this program and say, TMPGEnc? To where I would want to switch to it, just for speed. If you can hardly tell the difference, this maybe a good alternative, but if TMPGEnc still looks superior, then I'd stick with quality and not speed.

Mmhh... Do you have the FULL version ? Because I see that the "free" version is limited to 5 minutes per DVD, and I don't doubt it's possible to encode 5 minutes of video in 30 minutes ;)

Yes, TMPGEnc or CCE does the encoding, but the whole process, from a master to being able to burn is about 3-6 hours...that's my experience.
this programs does the whole process in about 30 minutes, even burns directly to the CD.
The quality is good. You can choose several output formats: MiniDVD, Super VideoCD, VideoCD.
I bought the program it is only priced at 30 USD the lite version.
The quality and speed of this program is incredible.
Try it.

a better program for vcd and svcd id DVDX 2.2. for DVD to DVDR you should be using something like DVD2one.
