Create VIDEO_TS, AUDIO_TS?
Closed disc, open disc?
Data disc, video disc?

I just found using record now(max) and my liteon 411s created bad discs. Also liteon manufactured some dvd writers for sony.
My recomendations would be to make sure you have the most current firmware revision for your writer installed and use imagetools/dvd decrypter to burn.

The AUDIO_TS directory is reserved for audio disks. I don't remember the strange moniker - SCCA or something like that. On a video disk, the AUDIO_TS directory is always empty (and I assume on an audio disk, the VIDEO_TS directory is always empty). In fact, a fair number of video DVDs don't even have an AUDIO_TS directory.
FYI: the audio on a video DVD is contained in the VOB files, along with all the video and subtitles.
Are you processing your DVDs in any way before you burn them - shrinking them or stripping things out? Any possibility you simply removed the default audio track?

AUDIO_TS always empty on video.Good to know that saves me one late night looking for audio.
I move dvd from(Sony Dvd RW DW-u12a)to the hard drive useing SHRINK or DVD Decrypter. When i open the file on shrink it plays great audio and video.I then burn with nero.I pull file off of my hard drive and put it in VIDEO_TS just like nero ask. This is the same file that i opened in shrink from the hard drive which had audio.Tried three times .Got some nice coasters though.I"ll keep trying. Is there a process im missing.I tryed deleating file from hard drive and started over with same results. It's just odd how shrink will play file with audio.THANKS ALL.

It may just be me, but I simply can not think of a reason that a burned DVD would play video just fine, but not the audio. If it can read the disk, then it per-force must be reading all the streams - there's no reason it would ignore just the audio portion of the data flowing from the disk.
Is your original disk a DVD5? If it is, try using DVDDecrypter to rip it to an ISO image, then use DVDDecrypter again to burn the ISO to a DVD±R (or a DVD±RW if your player will read them and you want to save a coaster).
