Ok, what I want to do is to be able to put (S)VCDs onto DVD and have them fully compliant. I used Doom9's guide, but when I burn the DVDs it only works on one of my set top DVD players. What I want to know, is how I can make them FULLY compliant, so they will work in my DVD players. Standard DVDs that I've backed up work fine in all, same with VCD and SVCDs but not DVD-VCDs. Reencoding isn't a problem, I just need to know what settings for TMPGEnc. Thanks all!

To put a vcd on a dvd all you need to do is re-sample the audio to 48khz , the video is fine as the dvd standards support vcd resolution and it supports mpeg1.

The svcd needs to be re-encoded to a dvd complient resolution
