Convert vob files to pal?

I wasnt sure where to ask this so i thought i'd ask here. I have some vob files that are ntsc and would likeo convert them to pal because my machine only plays them in B&W. Can this be done? I know i can make my svcd images to pal but would like the vob files to be pal as well.

AFAIK, reencoding is the only way to go. PAL and NTSC are too different and have different and incompatible MPEG-2 streams.

haha yeah i just found out that its the telly not supporting ntsc color properly. I had a new sony 21 inch telly on order anyway. Went to pick it up so i go it now. Tried it with the dvd and now its color :)

Funny thing is that we have an old color telly in the lounge room that was bought in 1975 much older than the one that i replaced in my room and the el cheapo prima dvd player must convert the color to pal first before the signal is sent to telly where the new sony dvd player i have in my room musnt do that.

I still ended up encoding to svcd anyway & changed to pal
