After trying several webcam capture apps, NONE really impressed me. It would be nice to just use VDub.
Is there ANYWAY to RECORD only on MOTION DETECT ?
Seems like a simple plug in could be made ?

You can use ATI MMC if you have an ATI capture card - there ispreset for motion detection (captures only when motion is detected).

Hmm... one more reason to buy ATI next time.
unfortunately, at least for this purpose, I'm using an nVidia Ti4600 with Vid in & out.

No, thats definately not simple :p
And honestly speaking I don't think its worth the efford since (imo) VDub(Mod)s days as a viable capture solution are counted (at least in its current vfw only state).

Never hurts to ask ... but I doubted something would be out there for just that reason ...
wouldn't this be a good VirtualdubMOD project ...

Ok, lemme rephrase ;)
- What you propose can't be a plugin, it has to be a mod.
- I (and probably everybody else in the VDM project) won't do it because for the above stated reasons at least I consider it a waste of time.
