hi. i'm trying to back up Pirates of the Caribbean for a second time. my first attempt was basically everything in the original but some things i made into images (using dvd shrink).

the problem is there';s a really annoying bruce almighty trailer at the very beginning (before the menu), and i want to get rid of it, amongst some other things.

using Vob rator i found the trailer is in VTS_07_1.vob, so i opened it's ifo in ifo edit. after deleting it like all the guides say (using "vob extras" and deselecting what you don't want) it gave me a new vob and ifo. i put these with the DVD and intervideo played it fine.

but as sooon as i load it up in DVD Shrink, it complains that it can't find VTS_07_2.vob, which never existed even on the original.

so i loaded the vts_07_1 vob in Vob edit. i demuced the cell id;s, deleted the one with the trailer, and then joined them up again. i put the orignal vts_07_1.ifo back in the dvd directory and then the new vob which vobedit made. #

played fine in intervideo dvd but same thing in dvdshrink.

so basically, is there any way to completely get rid of extras, and any links to them which may confuse clever programs like dvd shrink?

i don't want to use dvd shrink first and then cut it out because this trailer is 60mb and i'm trying to get the best quality possible with menus (emphasis on with menus, i know i can just get the movie).

anyone?
