Hey Doom9'ers
I'm fairly new at ripping DVD's. I have been successfully using DVD Decrypter to extract and "backup" the main feature (movie) of my DVDs which seems to be fairly automated.
However, I am at a loss as to how I can locate and rip a Setup feature on one of my DVD's
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanx.
Note: If more details are required, just ask :)

More details are required
What do you mean a setup feature?

If you mean software you setup on your PC (i.e. DVD-ROM extras), these are just files on the DVD.
You don't need DVDDecrypter to get these files off a DVD; they are not encrypted. Just copy the files using Windows Explorer.

LOL... sorry about being so vague, peoples :)
OK here I go. The main menu of the DVD gives you several options eg. Play Movie, Scene Selection, Extras, etc. One of the options is a Setup feature which, in this case, happens to be a visual setup test screen for your TV's brightness & contrast levels. It shows you how to adjust these levels to get the best quality viewing of this Black & White DVD movie (not that you had to know anything about what the Setup feature does but I thought I would throw it in the mix to confuse things some more). Phewww, what a mouthfull of jibberish :) I hope this makes a little bit of sense.
So yeh, that's what I mean by the Setup feature.

In this case all u have to do is locate the vts that hosts the feature. It should be a vts_0x_1.vob, possibly a small one less than 100mbs and decrypt it on your disk.

Thanx Oddyseus & others :)
I got what I wanted... and more (this file also contained things like the FBI Warning and the Main Menu intro). Thanx. I now have one more question... once I rip this into another format, what application can you suggest that I use to cut out all the other stuff that I don't need?
Thanx again ;)

u can use Premiere 6.5 or better to edit mpeg2 video files, although u wont be able to edit the audio.
