I used DVD2SVCD a long time ago to rip a DVD of a 180 minute movie into 2 large files that I wanted to burn onto 99 minute CDs. My standalone player had trouble playing these CDs, however.

Now I've decided to revisit this project, but I'm beyond rusty. I want to recover the process and make 3 files.

1. At what step should I start the recovery process at?
2. What are the recomended max, min, and max avg bitrates to use for the video?

a. If you have the VOBs on disk, I'd restart from scratch.

b. If you have the MPV file from the encode, you could edit the project file to use 3x800 instead of 2x999. Then restart from Pulldown/Muxing if CCE/TMPGEnc respectively (would create a very small third image).

(Note that this advanced and tricky, so if you are indeed rusty, ;) choice a would the the way to go.)

The defauls are OK. :readguid:
