as you've seen i'm using pioneer A03 with firmware (official) 2.0

if i try to burn these disc with record now dx, error is something like :

sense 03 asc 73 ascq 03

i've found here

that it's a media problem (not a big surprise...)
as far as i've seen the burning process doesn't really start so the dvd-r isn't lost (at least)

for this problem i downgraded the firmware to 1.68
with this firmware the burner tries to initialize the dvd-r for one hour but the burning led is off, and i have to reboot to be able to open the tray again (and this time the dvd-r is lost for sure)

what i'm hoping is a solution like
"hey man use the firmware 1.40 it works like a charm with princo and your pioneer", i'm ready to change my firmware again, but don't want to try them all (i'm back to 2.00 now)

all burning tries were 1X speed, i don't mind at all if i can't burn faster (i'm burning apple dvd-r 1X speed anyway)

I have the A03 with patched 2.0. I can tell you that burning a princo is more luck than anything else ! I could burn some, so maybe you give this firmware a chance ??
