Hi !
Regarding the following line in your future readme:
I have switched to VirtualDUB to extract and convert audio from AVI's to WAV. The good thing is that you can use any kind of audio in the AVI (and VBR shouldn't be a problem anymore either) as long as you have the proper Audio Codec installed.
First of all a trivial question - when you say VDUB do you mean VDUBMOD ?
In any case, wouldn't that mean lower audio quality ?
If I understand correctly, besweet will never be used in AVI2X (???)
I could always use decompress.exe (from avi2vcd.zip obtained here (http://home.cogeco.ca/~avi2vcd/) ) on an AVI to get it to PCM uncompressed audio format with no problems whatsoever, even with MP3 VBR (which I could then feed to D2S of course)... *IF* I didn't care about audio quality, but part of D2S's beauty is that it uses the best tool for the job at every step, in this case - besweet
Would it be possible to use the "regular" method for all currently supported audio formats (AC3, MP3-non VBR etc.) and only use vdub (or decompress.exe actually, I think that would be easier) for other audio formats ?
Please forgive me if I did not understand correctly, in which case I'd be grateful for an explanation of said line.
Lastly, it would be great if you could improve mpg support ( a related discussion with a specific problematic file I have uploaded for your convenience is here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48036&perpage=20&pagenumber=2) ) , only when and if you have the time/will/urge of course :)
Thanks a lot in advance ,
Ohad
