I am able to use TMPGEnc to turn a .ts file from MyHD into 2 files: an m2v and a wav.

I can rename the m2v file as mpg and it will play in Windows Media Player.

How can I instruct TMPGEnc to just create a single mpg file that contains video and audio?

The Output file name defaults to (m2v+wav) - and I don't seem to be able to tell it to create a single file.

Go to File -> Mpeg Tools -> Simple Mux
Choose the m2v at video input, the wav at audio input
pick an output name and run it,
ow at Type select which type of mpeg you want..

jojo15 - I tried that. when I select the wav file for the 'audio input' in Simple Multiplex - it gives an error immediately of:

TMPGEnc - Multiplexing Linear PCM stream to system stream is not supported.

The original .ts file came from MyHD (HDTV broadcast) - and I used pretty much the defaults to create a 720 x 480 output from TMPGEnc.

What am I doing wrong?

What do you wanna make?
A vcd or a svcd?
It looks like you chose a system MPEG1,
that's why you get the error message..
I suggest you select MPEG-1 Video-CD at "Type"
or MPEG-2 Super VideoCD (VBR)
but the first (MPEG-1 Video-CD) is recommended..

Tmpgenc doesn't like pcm audio. There is a freeware app I saw in the forum somewhere that will change the audio or you could use a regular audio app like cool edit.
