Hey, I'm trying to find out wich encoder is the best for me, to convert 320 simpsons eps from divx3 avi tot mpeg2-dvd, so I found CCE and tried something.. but when I look at the output, I get the same video, but with a border all over the video, all around. The source video is 4:3, wich don't change at the encoding, the only thing is that I get some border around it.. I made a picture of the output:

It looks like it's converted to 16:9 but the in the settings I checked that it isn't converted.. does anyone know a solution?
Thanks, snok

Okies, I'll check that.. but I don't know anything about frameserving :( but do you know why I get this borders, because I've chosen the same AR as the source. When I use TMPG it works fine, but CCE is quite faster, so I prefer that..

I think that I've found the solution.. CCE can't work properly with divx3.. I've converted some file to divx5 and converted it with CCE to MPEG and I didn't get the border! The only problem now is.. how can I convert 322 files fast to divx5?

It's not a matter of the codec but of video resolution. You most probably had "DVD compliant" ticked in CCE's video setting. In this case CCE will add black borders around video that is not in a DVD compliant resolution such as 720x576/480. Use FitCD (http://shh.dvdboard.de/) (free) to get around this, it will generate an AVISynth script for you that you can feed into CCE. Because your source is AVI, make sure the source aspect ratio is set to "1:1 Monitor" in FitCD.

It's working! Thanks! :)
-edit-
it works with some files.. with some other files all the colors are messed up, like u're watching a divx video and u have installed some codecs that mess up eachother.. check the picture I added. The AR is good, but the colors are messed up.. anyone?
