How do I do it? I want to swap the audio channels from French/English to English/French

Use Mosu's mkvmerge. it comes with a rather easy to use GUI called mmg.

Short answer : never

RV9 will convert even a CFR source into a VFR stream, and VirtualdubMod cant handle those at all, due to its design ( its base is Virtualdub, and thus the old VfW structure ). Sorryn i cant give you better news here :( ....

isnt it already possible to open rv-in-mkv streamsn in vdm and cut them also already?

the only problem is that you cant see the picture as there is no realvideo vfw codec available
