Capture without drop frames but...

Hi, i have a Pinnacle PCTV Stereo whit original drivers.
in VirtualVCR i capture in 720x576 with Huffyuv compression at 25 frame/sec, color format: UYVY, audio format: 16 44.100 stereo
NOTE that I DON'T HAVE DROPPED FRAMES but all frames are captured OK!

but when i start AVI captured in windows media player i see in "fast movement" scenes that the video is not ok... seem to have a trail.. (like a mouse trail)

why this problem?
when i will do [S]VCD/DVD this problem will will remain?
i have no dropped frames!! where is the problem?

For begin, I suggest to you that try some other capture programm. Virtual VDR is free, V Dub VCR is free. How captures PCTV Vision?

If same problem appears in all software, there is problem with your MB settings. Check IRQ's.
Don't use any CPU cooler software while capturing.

Are you sure you don't mean combing by those trails? Combing is perfectly normal, you'll just have to decomb/deinterlace or encode as interlaced.

Perhaps you could post a freeze-frame of the problem? Or is it a problem only visible with motion?

Yup - remember Huff isn't good at playback on most machines, but what you described... I think Boulder is right... as you mentioned 720x576 its full PAL (yeah, ok... 768 would be PAL... but thats irrelevant here) and you get interlaced material ;)
