Hey everyone having a little trouble with xvid here and I have run out of options. I heard of Koepi's build from a friend so I went over to the site and grabbed the latest build. When I went to install it everything seemed to go fine when all of a sudden I get this error with a program called "A~NSISu_.exe" which has to be shutdown. Then the installer kept going and when it went to register xvid.ax the installer created some error and had to shutdown. I've tried all the builds on Koepi's site and only one installs perfectly, XviD-04102002-1.exe. It installs fine with no errors from anything, so I am getting very confused as to why none of the other builds will install properly. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

I am running Windows 2000 Professional SP4 with all the latest updates, on an AMD K6 450mhz(very sad I know) with 256m of ram.
Any other information that might help figure out this problem just ask.

Do an Alt + Ctrl + Delete and see if there are any odd programs running.

Sometimes, when you try to uninstall and older version of xvid, the xvid.ax is still there and you will need to restart in order to fully uninstall it in order to install a newer version of xvid. Or, if you are too lazy to restart, you can force delete the file by using norton or spybot search and destroy

and thats all of them and I don't think any of them are odd or shouldn't be there.

I don't know if they are related but also I am having trouble with AIM.exe, it has to be shutdown everytime I go to run it while I am online but if I run it first then go online it works fine. *shrug*
