DVD Shrink re-authoring

Quick Question:

Using DVD-Shrink to get rid of special features and excess dvd material to backup original how does re-authoring work. Do I just open re-author then drag and drop the pieces of the DVD that I want? Will DVD-Shrink automatically make the Video_TS file and menu information when I backup the new movie arrangement?

btw when you 're-author' using dvdshrink you will not be able to keep functioning menus

Thanks for the feedback. As long as I can back up the movie from my originals is all I need. The menus just make the copy look better. Thanks for your help.
