Leadtek Winfast2000 XP Deluxe or Expert?

Hi!

I decided to buy a TV card, it will be a Leadtek.

Please someone help me, which one is better, because there are two versions:

Winfast tv2000 XP Deluxe and Expert

I looked at the leadtek website, but I just can't find out which one is better, deluxe or expert?

Please someone help me, which one is worth more to be bought and why?! What are the differences?

I think many people have this same problem to decide.

I would go for the expert in that case. The cx23881 is the succesor to the fusion BT878a and a much nore capable chip anyway.

But of course, there are other cards based on this chip.

I have 2 cards (neither is a Leadtek), 1 with a BT chip, 1 with a CX chip. I like the 1 with the BT chip better, even though it does not support stero thru RF.

In practice, I find the tuner makes a big difference if you are using that. Also, there are some alternative drivers that work with the BT chip. If both cards are stero, I'd say it was a toss up and depended upon the other things on the card, not the chip. AKA the connectors, the tuner, the software you use. I'd guess these are all about the same on these 2 cards. Also it depends upon what you cap. The CX may be slightly sharper for DVD caps, but I'd doubt you'd notice it.

PS: I'm no expert. These are just some observations about my 2 cards. (Aver and MSI).

really if i did get another capture device id go with the DV ones like the canopus... DV is so much easier to edit and the a/v sync is better... i also like using DV because i use it with miniDV cameras all the time @ school! my biggest problem with that is i like final cut pro but its for a mac and i have a PC! (macs at video editing labs at school!)

high audio output from the leadtek card is not nice... have to keep it at 25% .. if its at 100% its so loud!

i can get the card to capture perfet with mpeg2 dvd template in winfast PVR.... but having problems with MJPEG and huffy... not sure if its the card or something im doing!... still in the capturing learning process...

not too many complaints... mainly id go with the expert cause i capture and encode for dvd.

I have bought the expert version. It will arrive today. So I will begin to test, but I have an exam on Monday, so I will have to do it beside learning...:(
But during the week and the next one I will have results how it performed.
For me the cable-tv input will be the most interesting part, and a few VHS tapes. We shall see...

And one more thing, I aksed Leadtek what is their suggestion, and they said to go for expert. It is more advanced than deluxe (which is almoust the same as plain XP). I know it is not the best source, but I was interested in their answer too.
