Hey all,
in April/May I plan on buying a new computer (an Alienware area 51 extreme desktop) with my brother buying my old laptop off me. I want to sell it to him for the right price not too high as I dont want to rip him off nor too low as i need the money. can people after looking at the spec etc let me know what they think my rig and all its extra components are worth in total.
here is what im selling
It is a Dell inspiron 8000 laptop 2 yrs Plus old in very very good condition
P3-M 850
15.1 inch TFT 1400X1050 native res screen
32mb AGP 4X Geforce2 go graphics card
512 mb of ram
Ess Maestro Sound card (?) with headphones out,line in and mic in
30 gb of hdd (i think its a hitachi not sure)
8x DVD drive
Floppy drive
Firewire on the laptop
2 USB2 ports via a USB2 pcmcia card (which im giving with computer as ive no need of it anymore)
2 usb1.1 ports on the computer
SPDIF out
Infrarer port
Composite out
Svideo out
10/100 belkin pcmcia network card (which im giving with the computer)
Along with this im also packaging
An external 12X firewire cd writer
and a cordless optical mouse (not microsoft or logitech)
Also im also going to set it up for him completely with all the latest drivers windows updates etc (but dont take this into account really)
Ive no idea what this system with its extra components is worth can people put two values if they think they know what it might be worth
one value for the whole package and one value just for the laptop without the external peripherals (cd writer, mouse, network card, usb2 card)
prefferably in pounds but dollars would not be the end of the world thanks
