I know Philips have both VFW and WDM drivers for their SAA7134 chip, which they provide to manufacturers as an SDK but refuse to release to the public. The manufacturers seem uninterested in releasing VFW drivers for SAA7134-based capture cards.

Unfortunately, I can not capture reliably from my Flyvideo 3000 on my Win98SE system with FAT32, and can not migrate to a system that will in the near future, so require VFW drivers.

Does anyone know if VFW drivers for SAA7134 (and in particular the Flyvideo 3000) are available anywhere and that are compatible with a Win98SE system?

VFW is only necessary if you want to use VirtualDub or any VFW related software for capturing. Win98SE supports the WDM specs, therefore you can install the WDM drivers with it. I got a Cinergy 400 from Terratec, which has the SAA7134, too. I installed the WDM drivers from Terratec on Win98SE and they work without any problems. However, you'll need to isntall DirectX 8.1 or higher.
