YAY !! ive just read the news that doom9 has posted about dvd+r DL disks and recorders going on sale
i have a few question and i relise that the answers to these are not likely to be perfectly correct
1. what do people think are the likely prices for dvd+r dl drives when the first ship or upto april -july time period
2. what do people think are the likely prices for half decent dvd+r dl media
3. do people think that the drives will be 8X (for single layer disks) (as i relise they are meant to be 2.4 x for double layer) and/or dual format ie -r as well
Any one else have anything else to add on the subject id be most interested

ALSO do people reckon
at the moment we back up a dvd 9 probably to 2 discs while backing up a dvd 5 is considerably easier nearly one click stuff
do people reckon that once we have dual layer that backing up dvd 9s will be as easy as the dvd 5 ones. ie no encoding just copying basically
