Heey, I made this movie with Adobe Premiere 6.5 and I`m wondering how to export it.. cause when I export it myself, I get this super big AVI file, like 250 mb for only 1 minute of good quality video.. There must be a better way! Does anyone know how to export or convert my movie to a (good quality) svcd? I already looked at some guides but a lot doesn't seem to simply work :S
Thx in advance!

Welcome to the forum, and the world of video editing and format conversions!

You may have seen bb's DV to DVD (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60392) guide. It might well be beyond your skillset in the beginning, but go over it and start getting to know the turf. You gotta start somewhere.

Your .avi files are in an uncompressed state, this is the reason you're seeing a relatively small clip which takes up so many Mb's. To burn more than a few minutes to disc, you'll need to compress these files. So, the next question is, do you have a DVD burner, or a CD burner? If the answer is CD, which your post would indicate, a good choice is to convert your files to the SVCD specification using DVD2SVCD. You'll find info on this in the DV forum where the above link is taking you. (Run a search on DV to SVCD, and view threads past the 30 day default.) Do a lot of reading there, the terminology alone may seem stupefying until you've gone over it a few times.

If this is your first foray into the world of format conversions, it will be confusing at first, but I'm sure you can do it! Just don't expect it to be as easy as second grade math. :)
