I've some quastions on capturing in general:
1) Is it worth, while using radeon all in wonder 8500, capturing with virtual dub to avi, when then compressing it to DVD? Or it is better to capture to mpg2? If so, then what settings for radeon (settings of virual dub I allready have from articels from this site) are best for vhs tapes? I try 10 MB variable rate for mpg2, cd quality audio. Still do not know if use radeon built in deinterlace filter, as well as ther filters like noise reducion or so one.
2) Then, going further, is there any difference in picture and sound quality when using defferent programs, but with the same codecs settings - in other words, if I set in different programs the same settings of pictore and audio, will I get the same movie quality, or one will do better ther other? I mainly used tmpgenc for s/vcd CD, but now wanna start doing DVD's, so I'm looking for some help.
Thx
