Stores for mpeg4 streams (divx xvid)(mediatek chip) players in US/UK??

I am in the US and am very interested in getting a mediatek 1389 based player
i have also seen posts from people from the UK also looking for sources

so if anyone knows anything, like if/where they are avaiable, online stores, store-chains, whatever, post any information you have

If you mean standalone players that can spin encodes stored in an MP4 container then, no.

Sadly there are no standalone players that can do this yet. Only the Sigma Xcard, which is computer PCI card can offer this!

There seems to be a UK based company called rimax (http://www.rimax.net/)

They have been producing sigma based players but have switched to mediatek (most of the information on their website is still for sigma).
But they do have a firmware upgrade page, which shows the differences between the 2 models and how to tell them apart.
Hope that helps some people in the UK looking for a player.
