Hi
Is there a way to use MPC on linux using Wine? I already got Windows Media Player 6.4 working :) I'm using Xandros Desktop Deluxe 2.0.

Why? Mplayer does everything MPC can and more.

Of course!
Matroska support is included in the recent releases, and for RV9-playback it uses the codecs included with the realplayer for Linux.
You have to point it to the codecs when configuring, somehow like --with-reallibsdir=/real/lib/dir (see documentation).
The only thing I'm missing in MPlayer is the ability to scale the image while retaining the AR, like in Zoomplayer...
For 4:3 movies it is no problem, because I can use the resize function of nvtv (I have a Nvidia-card), but with widescreen-movies I have to live with the overscan, or have to boot windows :(
But apart from that, it is more than perfect!
