Deinterlacing question

Are some movies interlaced heavier than others???

I've used TomsMoComb, but the picture still looks bad...


What's going on here??

movies (theatre films) are usually not interlaced. if you live in an NTSC coutry, they might be telecined. there's a process called inverse tenecine (IVTC) that can restore the original frames.

sometimes, films go through too many bad conversions (animes pop to mind) before they land on a DVD, and then the process can be harder to reverse.
