Hey guys, I have a program called TMPGEnc DVD Author. I have a CD Burner and a DVD Player. I want to either try to convert from SVCD to DVD or DVD to DVD. Just so i know how to do it. Everytime i use a guide i'm always either getting no sound or really low sound. If anyone could help me this. Do u guys have any type of messenger?? If u do i could either IM u and u can IM me and help me. Please reply back as soon as possible. Thanx guys. Oh i was going to do this without a DVD Burner.

You want to make DVD's with TMPGEnc DVD Author, but you don't have a DVD burner? That makes asolutely no sense. Are you trying to make some kind of Mini DVD, or are you just insane?

First rip the DVD to a directory on your HD with DVD Decrypter (http://www.dvddecrypter.com) Its free to use. Slect file mode and
rip all files on DVD.

Next you will need to shrink the movie down by reduceing the quality
of the video and or remove subtitles and or reduce the extra's quality. Until you get the whole DVD size down to fit on a 4.7 gb dvd.
To back up a full dvd I do not use TMPGEnc DVD. I use a combination of programs. The one mentioned above and DVD Shrink , and Finaly dvd tool box to burn the DVD.

If you wnat just the movie use the above program and rip the main movie file plus the IFO's to hard drive. Open the Dvd file with TMPGEnc DVD, Edit create your chapters and burn. There will be no extra features on the disk just the movie.

:eek:But you will need a DVD burner they are going down in price

I hoped this helped some.

So now your post makes no sense and you have an attitude? Why did you even bother to post again if you're going to ignore people and refuse to clarify anything about your situation?

You specifically said, "I want to either try to convert from SVCD to DVD or DVD to DVD," but then you said you don't have a DVD burner... and then you said you had already made some DVD's that had no sound or low sound.

Are you doing SVCD -> DVD or DVD -> DVD? They're completely different. Do the DVD's you've made have low sound or no sound? There's a big difference. Do you have a DVD burner or not? Make up your mind.

You need to give more information. You're just wasting everybody's time. Look how you wasted erad's time -- he assumed you were burning 4.7G DVD-R rips.
