Xvid or Divx

Hey guys, I made a format with Auto Gordian Knot. The format is either Divx or Xvid. First off. The most important part for me. The sound is really low. Second, My Divx Player that i have on my computer it won't play the movie. Does anyone know why it won't play it. Whether you want to use DivX or Xvid is up to you, personally I prefer Xvid as will most people in an Xvid forum. Check out doom9's latest codec comparison and see what you think.

As for why the DivX player won't play the file, perhaps it can't handle non-DivX files. I'd recommend downloading something more versatile like Media Player Classic or ViPlay.

My problem is any type of Divx or Xvid i don't know to encode, i don't know what settings to put it on for me to get a really good picture and really good sound... It doesn't matter which one i make. If someone knows more about Xvid then Divx and they want to message me to help me encode it step by step all the way through the process that's fine or if they want to help me with Divx that's fine too. Please reply back. Thanx.

...should be more than enough information on how to get good quality encodes.

As a very rough guide 90 mins of footage will compress in good quality to 800mb . If you allocate less space then the video will look worse. Autogk really couldnt be much easier. DOwnload the trial of dr divx and try that. IF that is too complicated then I advise further reading. Bsplayer will play both xvid and divx content.
