Can somebody just confirm this. To my understand EVD is basically DVD with the file format being Vp6 instead of Mpeg 2.
Am i right?

No you are wrong EVD is advanced evolutionary video disc. It will hold around 27gb of high def video and might use the vp6 format. It might also use the vp5 format. It should play dvd's in the same way that dvd players of today will play CDR. But many people think it is simply a bargaining chip to force royalty fees down from the Dvd forum... its power politics writ large..just like the battle between + format and - format. ALso re sky marshals on planes. Its about who controls access to the infotainment of the 21st century!:sly:
