I have two videos on one DVD created by Recode 2 and wanted to put a menu on the front to allow selection. After some advice hereabouts, I am trying TMPGenc DVD Author and it loads up the two tracks fine and creates a menu, but it doesn't recognise the audio of the second track.

It just says no audio on the properties for that track. The resulting dvd doesn't have audo on the second track either.

The orig dvd plays fine in software and hardware players, so the sound (AC3) is there just fine.

I couldn't see anything too obvious on various searches, so has anyone any thoughts??

This is a bug in DVD Author. I have sent them this info before to no avail...please send it too them!!!!

If you use Recode or DVD Shrink on a DVD and then import into DVD Author it WILL NOT see the audio. You need to rip the original DVDs to your hard disk and then use DVD Author to import them. It needs the original video_ts.ifo file for some reason. Then author you DVD to your hard drive even if it is too big for a DVD. Then use Recode or Shrink to reduce its size to fit.

Please email TMPG though!!!!!

I'll let them know of the problem, shame really because otherwise it's a neat way to work. Even better would be if recode had an 'add menu' option at this point.
