can't get a picture

Hi I'm using me GeForce2 ti-vt (with VIVO) card as a tv-in ...
I made it work I year ago and I captured a complete movie without any problems on win2k, now i'm on winxp, i've downloaded the newst WDM drivers from nvidia (2.13_wdm-vivo.exe) but I hjad directx 9.0b soo it didn't work, I downloaded the patch from microsoft (DirectX9b-KB825116-x86-ENU.exe) and I made it work like 3 weeks ago using VIRTUAL-VCR but now ... it doesn't work anymore, I can't get a picture in any software (virtual-dub nor Virtual Vcr) i've tried all the drivers (from msi) every combination but nothing seems to work anymore all I get is a black screen

Dont you have to 'initialize' the TV-modul first on those nVidia boards?
My friend (has a GF3 with Video-in) always has to start another program to see it - then close that one and then he can capture in VDub.

I've tried Power VCR II and WinDvr3.0 none of them made the tv-in "initialize" I can't find my original cds with the original software that came with it though ... but my question is ... why did it stop working

I have a MSI GeForce 4 mx460 with VIVO, and I can capture no problem. I can't get the TV-out to work as of yet though. (I bought it 3 or 4 weeks ago used)

I never had to do anything like that. I just start up iuVCR and it works perfect for capture.

I just downloaded the install package from the nvidia website of the newest drivers, (513 I think) and it worked for me.

i'm back after a couple of weeks, i've installed my ol ATI TV wonder, it works with the ATI software but that DAMN thing won't let me capture higher than ???x240, soo I've tried it in VirtualVcr and guess what still can't get a picture. I've tried (for a couple of weeks) all sorts of different settings, nothing seems to work, and when I turned on the capture mode in VirtualDub the damn thing crashed, I can't even close it (not responding), should I reinstall windows

Ok i've done some more testing, and I think I might of found what's the problem ... soo has I said, I now have my ATI(tv wonder) card plugged in with coax on it, MMC 8.8 works just fine (but still it's a piece of crap) VirtualDub crashes when I switch to capture mode, I have to reboot the computer because the program wont even close. In Virtual VCR I still get no picture, I did a "channel scanning", it found 51 channels (MMC found 52) while it was scanning I could see blue flickers on the screen, without any picture, then I tried DScaler, everything works ok BUT if I go on the source menu and select "ATI TV Wonder Capture (Dshow)" I get no pictures again

Soo my conclusion is ... DirectShow is completely [edited] (let me remind you that I have directx 9.1 WITH the patch for tv-in) Now is there a way te RE-initialize WDM or Directx or DirectShow
without having to reinstall windows

Now if you have a suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated
