Please help!
I have a short *.avi file that I am trying to convert to an mpeg-1 file and email to a friend.
1. I create the *.avi file with Ulead and with no audio (length is 37s).
2. I create the *.wav file to go with the *.avi (length is 37s).
3. I use TMPGEnc 2.5 to encode the *.mpg using the *.avi as the video source and the *.wav as the audio source
I have tweeked all of the video setting to produce a low quality, mpeg-1 email-able size file. I am using the toolame 02k as the audio engine outputing a 44100Hz, 256Kbps, stereo stream.
My friend is using WinXP and Windows Media Player 9 to view the file. She gets the video just fine, but no audio. She does not have a DVD drive or DVD playing software.
BTW, the file plays just fine on my machine (WinXP WMP9). I have WinDVD on my machine (but should that matter for mpeg-1?).
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
