I am starting to get into YATTA as I'm about to rip my Simpsons 1st Season DVDs. On the Telecide configuration window, I have almost every setting set up except for bthresh. I have no idea how to appropriately tweak this setting. I don't know if it0s important, but I set vthresh to 35.

bthresh (0.0-255.0, default 50) sets the combing detection threshold for conditional backward matching (back=1). The backward match will be considered if the candidate match has combing greater than 'bthresh'. Typically you set a high 'vthresh' to catch stray combed frames, together with a lower 'bthresh' to catch bad edits.

Or that's what the decomb manual says. Back=0 is generally recommended if you're going to fix it manually anyway. Note that changing bthresh only works in recent yatta versions.

Yeah, I read Decomb's documents several times. I also read the YATTA thread here and YATTA's own manual and none of them said that back=0 was the recommended setting for YATTA. Thanks for the tip.

On the other hand, I'd still like to know how to tweak bthresh for when I'm not using YATTA, so can anyone please answer my question?
