I have a movie on DVD that is 200 minutes. When I rip the movie all I get is the first half. Is there a way to get the second half off that DVD.
Thanks

Mmm...just a guess, Janet, since you didn't state it, but I assume you're using DVD Decrypter in IFO mode (or R4R, which uses Decrypter), since you've posted before in the Gknot forum.
It's possible that the 2nd half is in a separate PGC. If so, merely point to the other PGC in DVD Decrypter (or R4R).
(If it's a two sided disc .... turn the disc over. But you knew that, right?)
By default, the IFO parsing rippers like DVD Decrypter and SmartRipper (and R4R) will point to the longest PGC first. If there are multiple PGCs that have the exact same length, and are also the longest, the tools will point to the first one.

you're right I am using the dvd decrypter in gordion knot. I can see both the files. I hav PGC 1 and 2.
I tried highlighting PGC2 and then ripping but I still got the same first half. So I have to be leaving out something.

I have success.
VTS2 had 2 parts I thought that was both my movie parts but it wasnt
VTS3 has the second part. I have it ripped now and made the project file and it is the second half of my movie. I knew it had to be something I was missing.

Often the main film has multiple PGCs -- you'll see them as multiple PGCs with exactly the same length. I don't author DVDs, so I'm not sure why that is, but it probably makes for easier management from menu selections.

it was really funny. On the second DVD when I ripped it I got the second half of that DVD where on the first one I got the first half. Since it automatically points to the longest part. I am assuming when you have 2 selections on a DVD, widescreen or full screen, then it is the same scenario.
I havent gotten in to DVD authoring and all that yet. I am still stuck with gordion knot and the way it works for me. Its my favorite ap
