Compressability error...help on this?

When trying to run a compressability check on Finding Nemo I get these messages:


AVI Import Filter error: (Unknown) (80040154)

and

Log file not found. Unable to get compressability value.

I've never gotten these before...the only thing different is that this encode is done in 4:3 instead of 16:9 as that is what the movie is set for.

What should I do?

Please give details on how you run the check. The error seems to hint that something goes wrong while reading the source (avs?).

Superturtle: It's VDumMod, who can't import generated avs file. I think this is because of your codecs/filters configuration. Try to reinstall GKnot and all would be fine (the reason is not in avs).

I had the same situation after I had installed a lot of different codecs/filters (I was exsperimenting with different containers). I don't know exactly what is the reason.. As far as I remember, I've installed Matroska MPEG Pack, 3ivX Filters Suite, AC3Filter, CoreAAC, etc.

PS Had this problem both on Win98 and Win2000.
