Tmpgenc Problem?

When using tmpgenc to encode an avi to dvd mpeg2 i set the final file size to 99% of a 4.7gb dvdr and when it finished encoding the final file size was 3.19gb. According to my reckoning its at least 1gb short of what it should be. Has anyone else had any experience of this? Any help would be great.

Maybe the file is smaller because the video is not that long,
or you used some other quality settings..
But i don't know what you exactly did..

I used video 2pass vbr and audio mp2 vbr. I wonder if i should have used cbr for audio perhaps

Yes,
you need CBR for a dvd compatible mpeg2
try that
