I have been playing around with IFOEdit, Decrypter, DVD Shrinky, and DVDLab trying to add menus to ripped movies for the last 4+ months. My biggest problem has been that DVDLab strips the audio, subs, and (most importantly to me) the chapters (yes I know you are supposed to be able to import chapters, but it has never completely worked and still doesn't). But alas, with DVDLab 1.4 PRO, it is now possible! Here's how I do it.

1) Rip full dvd to hard drive with DVD Dycripter (hard drive much faster than DVD reader)

2) Reauthor out Movie with audio/subs/chapter that I want with DVD Shrinky dinks 3.0 (shrink it a little extra than DVD-5 so you can fit your new menus, 4,444Mb seems to work out ok). Save in seperate Dir (say... C:\ORIGMOVIE)

3) Run DVDLab PRO with VMG menus. Create your VMG menus (note: You cannot add a chapters menu directly, instead make your buttons and then use MenuEdit to modify the buttons to go to the chapters)

4) Add your movie, intact, by importing it as a VTS. See the guide here... http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=58791&perpage=20&pagenumber=1

5) You must add a blank "movie" but you don't have to link it to anything. or DVDLab will error message you that you have to add a movie.

6) Compile, burn and play.

Theoritically, it is possible to add multiple movies (as VTS's) but I have not done it yet. Post your results if it works for you!

Personnally, I like to have a menu to start the movie so I don't have to put in the disk and have to run back to my chair before the disk loads up. With this process I can add a movie with intro sounds and options while I mosey back to my lazyboy. (see guide here about adding audio/sub, It's outdated but was helpfull in it's concepts http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=58791&perpage=20&pagenumber=1

It is possible to add transitions using movies that link to yet another menu with 0 sec selection of a button that then plays the main feature, but it crashed on me when I tried to play it. The normal "transistions" wont transition directly to a VTS (Yet).

Anyway, was excited to be able to (hopefully) give back to the Doom9 for all the help I have been given here.

Happy New Year!
