Hi, I'm trying to backup a Kid's film TIGGER MOVIE.
In IfoEdit I now can remove this extra presentations just before reaching the Film menu.
My problem is that I want to remove the startup menu that appears as soon as I insert the disk in the DVD player, and is a language selection menu, that selects the language of the film menus.
I am trying to understand the IFO file, all items, but the menus.. I just don't understand them for now. Any help?
Trying to backup this film with Recode2 (with all the content),in the PC DVD Player all OK, in my stand-alone player it plays the startup menu, I select the language it it completely stops ->I need to press again play button so it starts playing. Why should this happen?

Anyways, how about trying out this guide (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=420411#post420411)? Don't know how your DVD structure is laid out but it should work on your Language menu also. Give it a try and let me know.

Happy new year to you too.
I did manage to remove (jump over) this presentations with the help of your guide (unwanted titles).
I will try the aspect ratio (or else) menu and soon I will answer.
One question is why does my stand alone stops just after I select an option from this startup menu (with recode2). In powerDVD it works just fine!
Thanks

The closest thing you will find to a debugger is the player in Ifoedit. It will find some of the instruction errors you may potentially create. As 2COOL has indicated, software players are MUCH more forgiving than regular players. For example, my Panasonic does not object to titles of 0 length so I can use 2COOL's method on that machine for eliminating certain titles from playback. On my Philips Q50, it will hang on 0 length titles. The Philips Q50 has phenomenal progressive output but is incredibly unforgiving on DVD format as is an XBOX (which also does not like 0 length titles).
My general rule of thumb is that if it will not play cleanly in the Ifoedit player, it will almost certainly bomb in a set top player.
Your mileage may vary,

The way I do my debugging is to manually insert invalid commands where ever and when it errors out, I know I'm on the navigation path. Of course, I always save my IFO prior to any edits. ;)

Good Idea 2Coolio!
Adding that feather to my much too small cap of knowledge.
