@Rommyke:
You've violated rule n.6. Please read forum rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm) before posting.

Sorry mikeson ,
didn't mean to ask the program itself or to get an illegal copy
just for suggestion of which program to use or the excisting of a program

@Rommyke:
I didn't mean that you've violated rule n.6 because asking for software to repair XviD files (most of them are free), but because you were asking how to repair probably downloaded XviD movie (XviD itself doesn't produce corrupt streams, so it is not movie encoded by yourself).
Besides reading forum rules you should read these announcements (http://forum.doom9.org/announcement.php?s=&forumid=6) to know what can be discussed and what cannot.

@Rommyke:
So could you please describe more in detail how did you encode a movie that become 'broken' or 'corrupt'?
Here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24924) you can read how to post issue/bug (AviSynth script, XviD settings, VirtualDub[Mod] version, DirectShow filters).

Mikeson ,
I just uses AutoGK which it the best program I have seen
and when it was finished I tried to play and got an
error , file is corrupt or an unknow format
I did remove a few programs before I tried playing the movie , like powerdvd , but didn't delete the codec and when I viewed the properties there was stil standing xvid movie

@Rommyke:
Can you open this file in VirtualDub[Mod]?
Nevertheless as you've already mentioned earlier, you cannot play any of your movies, so problem will be probably in DirectShow chain. Uninstall any codec pack you may have and try to play files via ffdshow or internal XviD DirectShow decoder that comes with XviD build from Koepi.

Nah, it turns out you didn't break any rules. You just didn't state your question clearly, and lead mikeson (and me too as I was reading along) to think you were asking about a downloaded movie. No harm done.
