Pricing on Pioneer Dual Layer DVDR9s

Hello,

After perusing through much of the threads looking for specific article links, I wasn't able to find anything pertinent to projected pricing for Phillips/HP or Pioneer dual layer writing drives and discs. I can project my own figures based on degree of R&D and previous launch of single layer drives and discs, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any links specific to projection of figures. I am debating on whether or not it is worth the wait before investing in an 8x DVD single layer drive.

No numbers are available yet. The specs haven't even been finalized yet.

And as you should know from the computing industry.. you can wait forever, there's always going to be something new and better 1-3 months after you've bought your hardware.

Yeah, and dual layer writes are scheduled to be released 3 months earlier than dual layer media....by the dvd+ alliance.
The DVD forum has not released any dates when drives or media shall be available. Hopefully they are more intelligent and don't release drives long before media as well :p
