Tashi I guess we all have to do your homework.:eek: Here's something simple for you to use. DVD Shrink. Just load the VIDEO_
TS.IFO. By the way, it works wonderfully if you ripped in file mode. ;)
The titleset that has the most VOBs usually contains your movie. There are so much information and guides here, all you need to do is search. If you can't find what you are looking for, then post a specific question. Generally, saying you ripped and want to backup it up is not being helpful to us. Please adhere to Forum rule #1.

Another way is, after ripping the disk with decrypter, use a program called dvd2one, this will strip all the extras out and compress the movie into a new folder ready for burning with nero, if you want all the extras use dvd-shrink. One other thing....I have found I get far less errors by ripping with SmartRipper

Hello.
@sandstorm (and others, of course).
I prefer... DVD Decrypter. I get ... less errors. The fact is that DVDdecrypter is much more adjustable (this word doesn't look very regular to me ; they must be a better one) and you can set how to act when read errors are encoutered. I used many many times SmartRipper, but when my DVDs went too scrached, this prog couldn't rip them anymore. So I tried other progs, and found DVDdecrypter, and it did marvels and saved my old DVDs from trash. And you can search how many "and" I've used is this post :D .
Read this tomorrow : Happy new year :) .

I like to be as neat as possible. I use imgtool classic to make an image of what I have, then view the image with daemon tools, or I can burn the image to dvd at my leisure.
The trick to using imgtools clasic is to make a VIDEO_TS folder, then instruct dvd shrink to output to the folder ABOVE the Video_TS folder. It will be looking for it.
