On what does the CCE Speed Depend:
Version of CCE
Processor
Mainboard
Memory?
Hard Disk Speed?
I know computer speed is a combination of all of procesor, board and components, but CCE is intensive in which?
Thanks!

Version of CCE...Yes, CCE 2.5 runs faster on AMD systems, 2.66 & 2.67 are better for Intel P4
Processor...Yes, very much so.
Mainboard...A little. I built 2 AMD systems, both with the same CPU. One VIA, one nForce2. The nForce2 ran a little faster
Memory...With a fast CPU it seems like better memory will speed CCE up a little. Running memory in dual channel also helps a little.
Hard Disk Speed...CCE does not encode fast enough to tax any newer HD as far as I can tell

I'd like to add 2.50 a hair faster than 2.6x on P3, also from the CCE faq site, 2.6x is optimized for p4 but not smp.
