Hello, I´ve just bought 10 ULTRON DVD-R, DVDRIdentifier identify them as ritek G03, with 1x and 2x burning speed. But when I´m going to burn... I choose Max speed and it burns at 1x...

I have a Pioneer 106 with 1.0.6. firmware and RecordNOW MAX...

A lot of friends have told me that ritek G03 is a great media, and they burn them 2x without problems, but all of them own a pioneer 105...

Someone could tell me what to do to burn ritek at 2x speed?

Thanks.

The Ritek G03 are 1x media. Some drives will burn them at 2x and some won't. My Sony will burn them at 2x sometimes but 1x other times. Maybe its your software.

Thanks for your reply...

I've re-identified them with dvdridentifier, and the speeds are: 1x-(2x).

With pioneer 105 you have to use an special firmware to burn G03 at 2x... but I´ve updated my 106 to the last (1.0.7.) and have the same problem...

I will try with G04.

Thanks, CRACKEN.

I'm not 100% certain on this, but I believe that no official Pioneer firmware supports burning 1x disks at 2x. To do this, you have to use a hacked firmware.
