how do I make PS1 backups

Can someone tell me what I need or how to make a PS1 backup and have it play.....I am also going to get a ModChip for it also.....any help?

Everyone has their new XMAS dvdburners, now this site becomes the prime example for PS1/2 game copying site (was afraid of this) Maybe a sticky somewhere?
